Insurance-Website uses a unique, weighted formula based on each subsidiary’s reported equity, complaint ratio and A.M. Best rating to help you better determine which ones provide the combination of financial strength and customer service necessary to help reduce the chances of encountering problems with a potential insurance claim. Final ratings are based on a scale from 0 to 10 with 0 being the worst possible rating and 10 the best. Parent company ratings are based on the aggregate averages of subsidiary companies whenever the parent company does not directly engage in insurance underwriting.

A collection of independent, non-profit associations in each state in which they operate, the American Farm Bureau was founded nearly 90 years ago to create an effective political lobbying force for the nation’s farmers. The various Farm Bureau associations require membership to purchase their insurance products, and, like an automobile association, anyone can join a local Farm Bureau for a fee and obtain discounts on various types of insurance coverage.
